SWEEP ROW PRACTICES

For Spring 2012, experienced rowers practice with a coach Mondays through Wednesdays, from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Upper level experienced rowers (level determined by the coach) may row without a coach. The costs for paid coaching three evenings a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) is at a discounted rate of $50 for the 10-week Spring 2012 season (4/2 – 6/8). Please welcome our two new coaches, both MRC members: Corrine Bultman and Marita Stollenwerk! Corrine will be coaching two nights a week and Marita will coach one night a week. There is no prorationing nor refunds given if an athlete does not attend practices due to vacations, schedule conflicts, or injury. Athletes use the online signup to confirm their attendance at practice. The coach will determine the lineups. Attendance is only required when the person signs up to row/cox. Athletes can sign up based on their schedule.

For safety reasons, all rowers are expected to maintain a fitness level that ensures they are capable of rowing for 90 minutes (or pulling 10,000 meters).

EXPERIENCED SCULLERS

For those joining our club with sculling experience, we will give you an orientation and an initial evaluation regarding your skill level before going out on the water.
