February 29, 2020 - MRC’s 125th Anniversary Celebration

Where: Discovery World
When: Saturday, February 29;
Details: Come celebrate 125 years of the Milwaukee Rowing Club. The event will consist of a cocktail hour, dinner, and a scheduled program. All proceeds go to our STEM to Stern outreach program. For details and to register see our 125th Anniversary page.

Adult Rowing PRogram - A new opportunity

Where: The Barn (our indoor facility)
When: February 2 - March 28
Details: The Milwaukee Rowing Club is beginning a formalized adult rowing program this February. Adults with little to no rowing experience who are seeking rowing opportunities can participate in one of our Winter Learn to Row sessions, while experienced rowers and current members of the club may join our winter season. See our Adult Rowing Pages on the website for more information and to register.

This program will continue onto the water during the warmer months and will include coaching as well as racing opportunities.


July 22, 2019 - MRC Video Feature

The MRC was featured in a video highlighting Milwaukee County Parks. This installment was meant to focus on recreational use of Milwaukee’s waterways.


July 20, 2019 - City Lights sprints

Where: City Lights Brewing Co
When: Saturday, July 20; 9:00 AM -12:00 PM
Details: MRC will square off against Camp Randall Rowing Club in 1000m races finishing in front of City Lights Brewing on the Menomonee River. City Lights is open for breakfast! Enjoy breakfast and coffee while watching the races.

June 15, 2019 - Summer Scrimmage and Open House

Where: MRC Boathouse (1990 N Commerce St)
When: Friday, June 15; 9:00 AM -12:00 PM
Details: All are invited to the boathouse for a morning of rowing and family fun. The Milwaukee Rowing Club will be holding a series of races featuring the MRC High School Team, Middle School Team and Junior Team Alumni. Racing will begin at 9:00 AM.

Enjoy breakfast and coffee while watching the races. This is a great time to meet the coaches, check out the boathouse, and socialize with club members.


June 14, 2019 - Summer Social and Fundraiser

Where: MRC Boathouse (1990 N Commerce St)
When: Friday, June 14; 6:30-9:00 PM
Details: Enjoy an event the evening before our summer scrimmage. This event is meant to connect all current adult club members, MRC parents, Friends, and MRC Juniors Alumni. Come for an enjoyable night of socializing and information regarding our fundraising campaign.

June 6-9, 2019 - Youth National Championships RECAP

SARASOTA, FL - Our High School team competed at the Youth National Championship in the Women’s Youth 4+ and the Men’s Youth Lightweight 8+. Each of these boats had inspiring races over the course of the weekend and learned a lot from racing against the best teams in the country. Our athletes raced on the world class racecourse in Nathan Benderson Park and earned 15th place and 16th place in the country. We are proud of their strong performance!

June 6-9, 2019 - USRowing Youth National Championships

Where: Nathan Benderson Park - Sarasota, FL
When: Thursday, June 6 - Sunday, June 9
Details: Our High School team qualified for the Youth National Championship in the Women’s Youth 4+ and the Men’s Youth Lightweight 8+. Each of these boats earned silver medals at the Midwest Championships giving them the opportunity to race against the best teams in the nation. Our athletes will travel to Florida on Wednesday and return from racing on Sunday. Congrats to those competing and Go Milwaukee!


MAY 18-19, 2019 - Midwest Youth Championships RECAP

EAST FORK STATE PARK, OH - Our High School team competed at the Midwest Championships over the weekend and brought home medals in multiple events. This included winning the Midwest championship in the Womens Youth Novice 8+ and the Womens Youth 3rd Varsity 4+. The Womens Youth 2nd 4+ brought home a medal as well. The highlight of the regatta was when the girls and boys teams both secured a birth to the National Championships. They placed 2nd in the Women’s Youth 4+ and the Men’s Youth Lightweight 8+. Each of these boats had inspiring races and earned themselves a trip to Florida in June to race against the best crews in the country. GO MILWAUKEE!


June 23, 2018 - Summer Scrimmage and Open House

Where: MRC Boathouse (1990 N Commerce St)
When: Friday, June 23; 9:00 AM -12:00 PM
Details: All are invited to the boathouse for a morning of rowing and family fun. The Milwaukee Rowing Club will be holding a series of races featuring the MRC High School Team, Middle School Team and Junior Team Alumni. Racing will begin at 9:00 AM.

March 8, 2018 - Winter social event

Where: Good City Brewing (2108 N Farwell Ave)
When: Thursday, March 8; 5:30-10:00 PM
Details: Enjoy the evening getting to know club parents, members, coaches, etc. Our rented space at Good City is located at the corner of Farwell and Windsor. There is a separate event this evening and we have been asked to enter in the corner door (at Windsor/Farwell) and not the main taproom door.


December 7, 2017 - Adult Rowing Meeting

The Adult rowing meeting covered information about the winter rowing months. Our club is offering Learn to Erg sessions for new members, and the facility (Fight Club) is available for use. The meeting largely covered how to access the facility, opportunities for our Adult members, and how new members can be added to our club. Follow-up information will be sent out the week of December 11.
